Triple M star Mick Molloy buys Railway Hotel in Melbourne – and will reopen property in January after renovations
Triple M comedian and star Mick Molloy has purchased the Railway Hotel in Brunswick in Melbourne.
Talk to The sun herald, the 55-year-old said he wanted to use the facility for comedy shows and other forms of entertainment.
“A pub, for me, is a meeting place,” he told the publication.

âIt’s important to get together with the people in your neighborhood, share stories and laugh,â he added.
The Railway Hotel will reopen in January after a number of renovations.
Meanwhile, Mick is set to part ways with Triple M after 11 years.
The Crackerjack star, 55, made a statement earlier this month revealing he was leaving less than a year after his co-host Jane Kennedy left their driving show.
âAfter 11 amazing years at Triple M, I decided it was time to move on to a new chapter in my professional life,â the father of two began.

Mick continued, “It seems now is the time to explore some exciting new creative opportunities that present themselves for the years to come.”
The Late Show alum joked, “I want to thank the amazing production team who put on an incredible show every day, despite my frequent ar ** hole showbiz type antics.”
The shock announcement comes after her former co-host, Jane Kennedy, left her show earlier this year.
Describing Molloy’s departure as his “last drink”, Triple M director Mike Fitzpatrick said: “Mick is a radio pioneer, one of Australia’s greatest performers and it has been a privilege to to have worked with him again at Triple M. “
