Nicolas Dubort is appointed general manager of the Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC
Seasoned hotelier Nicolas Dubort has been named general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC. In his new role, Mr. Dubort will oversee all aspects of the 373-room property as well as the hotel’s luxury spa, restaurants, catering and events.
With more than 25 years of experience in the hotel industry, Mr. Dubort has worked for the best hotels in the world, including the Bel-Air Hotel and the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, the Dorchester in London, the Peninsula Chicago, The Bristol in Paris and the Four Seasons Philadelphia. . Mr. Dubort is not new to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, having served as Food and Beverage Manager at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, overseeing the operations of 10 outlets. He then returned to the United States after being appointed Food and Beverage Manager for Mandarin Oriental, New York, before being promoted to Hotel Manager in Washington, DC.
Since joining Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC, Mr. Dubort has implemented several initiatives to enhance the hotel’s urban resort position and broaden its appeal to luxury vacationers. Originally from Paris, France, Mr. Dubort holds a bachelor’s degree in hotel management from Jean Quarré in Paris. In his spare time, Mr. Dubort enjoys spending time with his family and exploring DC and the surrounding area.
