Murdoch Health prescribes Courtyard by Marriott brand for Perth
The next Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct under development outside of Perth’s CBD will feature a Courtyard by Marriott hotel, following the signing of a new management agreement with Marriott International.
In partnership with Western Australian real estate developer Hesperia, the new Courtyard by Marriott Perth, Murdoch, will feature 150 rooms and a variety of dining options, including an all-day restaurant with semi-show kitchen, cafe and bar . Over time, the facilities will expand to include a fitness center and meeting room.
The newly signed property marks the debut of the Courtyard brand in Western Australia and will become the brand’s fifth location in Australia. Currently, the brand operates two hotels in Sydney North Ryde and Brisbane’s Southbank and maintains a pipeline of five including two to Melbourne in the outer suburbs of Mulgrave and Truganina, one aligned for Sydney’s western suburb of Auburn and now one in Perth. .
Courtyard by Marriott Perth Murdoch will also be the fifth Marriott International hotel in Western Australia, joining properties like The Ritz-Carlton, Westin, Aloft and Four Points by Sheraton, all currently located in the Washington state capital.

Murdoch Health and Knowledge Urban Center will be located approximately 10 minutes from Perth CBD and 25 minutes from Perth Airport. It will also be close to Murdoch University, including a large tertiary hospital and the South Metro TAFE. The health center facilities are expected to include a 40-room mental health hospital, a 60-room medical hotel and a 175-bed elderly care facility as well as leisure facilities, cafes, bars and a supermarket, NDIS approved residential apartments and an office building shopping center.
Hesperia manager Kyle Jeavons said the Courtyard brand signature was a perfect fit for the emerging neighborhood.
