Hyderabad: Unique, Jumbo-Sized Christmas Setup Made From Food Products By 50 Pinnacle Institute Of Hotel Management Students Who Work 96 Hours To Welcome And Celebrate Christmas. Installation is 6 feet tall and 40 feet wide, made only of food ingredients
The Christmas setup consists of butter sculptures depicting Santa Claus, reindeer and sleighs. This apart from the use of salt dough, gingerbread and rusks, snowy colonies are created. Rusks and salt dough used to create castles.
The installation has become a topic of conversation in the neighborhood and attracts many visitors.
Students at the Hyderabad-based Pinnacle Institute of Hotel Management created a unique Christmas experience for themselves and others, showcasing their culinary skills. This is the most memorable thing for me, commented a student, Manish.
They have created what they call a “culinary wonder”.
To make the assembly, they used 105 kg of butter, 60 kg of flour, 60 kg of salt, 10 kg of gelatin, 123 eggs, 40 kg of icing sugar, 10 kg of rusk, 28 kg of gold syrup, 5 kg of ginger powder, 3 kg of mixed ginger, 15 kg of brown sugar, 3 kg of cinnamon powder and 40 liters of milk.
Rs 89,000 / – are spent on material. It is prepared under the supervision of Chef M. Praneeth and Chef Satya.
Pinnacle students have been doing creative work like this by regularly putting their theory into practice for quite some time. This helps students, says Ms. Y. Sridevi, principal and founding principal, to use their creative skills in addition to developing qualities of leadership and religious tolerance, she added.
Pinnacle regularly celebrates festivals like Ramazan and Ganesh Chaturthi. For Ramazan, students will travel from Haleem, Biryani, Kheer,â¦. They do a fantastic festival related setup.
For the past 10 years, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Pinnacle students have created the statue of Lord Ganesha using food materials. Each year, they used different food materials to make these statues, from butter and chocolate to pulled sugar, to name a few.
