Celebrity Chef Beau MacMillan Opens New Mediterranean Restaurant in Scottsdale | Arizona Foodies

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (3TV / CBS 5) – Food Network star and Valley Celebrity Chef Beau MacMillan takes the reins of a new business, bringing Mediterranean and coastal cuisines to tables at Scottsdale’s newest hotel in Old Town.

Senna House, a brand new lavish hotel in 75th Street and Camelback Road, is the host of the new catering experience of the Clive collective: Cala. The Cala experience aims to offer guests a taste of the Mediterranean in an upscale and upscale environment. Cala’s interior aesthetic in light tones will keep the atmosphere bright and intimate.

Chef MacMillan, who will serve as Cala’s Culinary Director, and his team have put together a farm-fresh, coastal-inspired menu inspired by flavors from Greece, Spain, Italy, Morocco and all over the world. Mediterranean coast! Cala lovers can look forward to basic Mediterranean dishes, including handmade pasta, fresh cheeses, bread, locally grown vegetables, and fresh seafood dishes. The menu will be health oriented and will use seasonal ingredients. Cala will also have an extensive wine and beer list.

MacMillan is also the Culinary Advisor at Camelback Mountain Sanctuary in Paradise Valley. In previous food reports, I covered the Elements restaurant and the Jade Bar at the Sanctuary. MacMillan has created absolute culinary power from a kitchen at Elements with Chef Samantha Sanz, and a solid bar background led by Bar Chef Christiaan Röllich. Familiar with MacMillan’s culinary caliber, I have no doubt that Cala will be a top-notch dining experience.

MacMillan is Director of Culinary Operations for The Clive Collective, a Scottsdale-based hotel sales group and more. Together, they recently opened Money Baby! at Virgin hotels in Las Vegas.

During a recent trip to Vegas, I discovered Money, Baby! and I have to say that the sports viewing, the interactive games, the high quality and the ingenious designs behind their food were a highlight of the trip. When it comes to serving an exemplary dining experience, the Clive Collective and Beau MacMillan are at the forefront.
