Best and Worst Dressed at the 2022 Grammys
The 64th Annual Grammy Awards featured a highly anticipated red carpet, having swung to the less traditional end of red carpet fashion in recent years. Among the stylish, eccentric, and straightforward extras, these celebs made our list of best (and worst) dressed attendees. We’ll leave it up to you to decide which is which.
Lady Gaga became synonymous with the Grammys red carpet, winning his 13th Grammy on the night. After years of wearing the full spectrum from edgy to alien, she opted for elegance in an asymmetrical Giorgio Armani Privé gown, adorned with diamonds and an Old Hollywood-inspired updo.
justin bieber took oversized to a new level in a huge Balenciaga blazer and pants, and steel-toed platform hooks. Surprisingly, this isn’t the first occurrence of crocs on the red carpet in 2022. Nor is it the second. Bieber, however, are Balenciaga and come with a price tag of $950.
Several celebrities have stepped out in BDSM-inspired looks this year, but none have done it quite like Doua Lipa, whose vintage Versace dress incorporated heavy chains and a leather harness to mimic a classic backless dress silhouette. Superb.
Before you roll your eyes by Tayla Parx fit dinosaur on the red carpet, you should know she’s behind some of the biggest billboard hits of recent years, including Justin Bieber’s album Justice, which received several nominations in the evening. If the mass tail braid is anything to go by, she’s sick of people not knowing her name, and we can only oblige.
Winner of Best Alternative Music Album, St. Vincent didn’t compromise his vintage style even at the Grammys, and it paid off! Her floor-length Gucci flamingo dress stood out from her fellow attendees and clashed only slightly with the red carpet itself.
No, it’s not a waterfall… supposedly. Francois Dillon met Grammy nominee and DJ Diplo in the hotel lobby, who handed him a spare ticket (proudly shown above) and led him to the red carpet. The bag? Walgreens. The muffins? Small Bites. Frances? Confused.
Without me Singer Halsey had the most successful fashion bid of the night, making a statement in a black dress by Pressiat. Accompanied on the red carpet by “ironic” shopping bags and dinosaur costumes, it was Halsey who caught our attention as an unforgettable femme fatale.
Let’s say that Megan you stallion Cuts a terrific figure, but after her stunning Oscar look, this bi-animal print club dress is a bit of a letdown.
Co-winner of Best Pop Duo alongside Doja Cat for their hit song kiss me more, SZA was a dream in her Jean Paul Gaultier tulle dress. Surrounded by bright colors and gimmicks, the rapper brought her subtle feminine flair to the occasion.
We can’t help but smile at the R&B singer yolacarefree attitude as she swept the red carpet in a Purple People Eater-inspired dress. At least his fur is fake.
Chrissy Teigen edged out Carrie Underwood for best prom dress of the night. Something about the way Nicole + Felicia Couture’s bubblegum pink explosion hugs perfectly at the waist is so dreamy.
We like Carrie UnderwoodBarbie’s country aesthetic, but her pumpkin prom dress by Dolce & Gabbana is dividing fans. Surrounded by fashion-forward looks and dramatic eye-catching attractions, her dress and sash may be more suited to Miss America than the Grammys.
